Legendary filmmaker Quentin Tarantino told CNN’s Chris Wallace that he is going to stick to his 10-movie promise, meaning his next movie will be his last.
Tarantino fans will have to soak up the next flick the iconic director releases, as he has no plans to make any more movies. Tarantino broke the news to his fans, letting them know his career is coming to a close after the next project. “I’ve been doing it for a long time; I’ve been doing it for 30 years. And it’s time to wrap up the show,” said Tarantino, said to CNN. “I’m an entertainer. I want to leave you wanting more,” he said.

Tarantino’s one of a kind movie experiences kicked off with “Reservoir Dogs” in 1992, and included other huge hits such as “Pulp Fiction” in 1994, “Kill Bill: Volume 1” in 2003, “Kill Bill: Volume 2” in 2004, and “Inglourious Basterds” in 2009. The last standalone film directed by Tarantino was “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” which the filmmaker recently stated was his favorite movie, according to Variety.
“I don’t want to work to diminishing returns,” Tarantino told Wallace. “I don’t want to become this old man who’s out of touch when, already, I’m feeling a bit like an old man out of touch when it comes to the current movies that are out right now,” he said.
“And that’s what happens — that’s exactly what happens,” he said, referring to directors who don’t know when to call it quits. (RELATED: Quentin Tarantino Reveals Why He Never Confronted Harvey Weinstein)

Fans will have to wait to see what the next and final movie is going to be about, since Tarantino himself hasn’t looked that far into the future. Wallace asked him to if he knew what sort of direction he wants to go for the next movie. “No, I don’t, at all, ’cause I’m also not in a giant hurry to make my last movie,” Tarantino said to Wallace.
“Right now, I don’t even know what a movie is — is that something that plays on Netflix? Is that something that plays on Amazon and people watch it on their couch with their wife or their husband? Is that a movie?” he said, teasing his fans.
