PRIMARY
UNDERGROUND DISTRIBUTION
CABLE for the City of
Fremont.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check,
cashier's check, or a bank
draft on a solvent bank
insured by FDIC or a bid
bond in the amount not less
the five percent (5%) of the
bid price. That bid security
shall be sealed and addressed to the City Clerk,
Fremont, Nebraska and labeled on the outside "15KV
PRIMARY
UNDERGROUND DISTRIBUTION
CABLE". Any bids received
from contractors not so
qualified will be returned
unopened.
The bid security shall guarantee the bidder's good faith
to enter into the contract
within fifteen (15) days at
the bid price if accepted by
the City Council. Any proposal received which is not
accompanied by a bid security will not be considered.
The bid security of the
successful bidder will be
retained until the material
has been delivered and
accepted by the City. The
bid security of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned when their bids are
rejected. The City of Fremont hereby reserves the
right to accept that bid
which, in its judgment, will
produce the best job of
workmanship and material,
whether or not it is the
lowest bid; and reserves the
right to reject any or all bids
and to waive any or all
informalities of any proposal.

Otoe Avenue from Summit

Avenue to Otoe Avenue,
Riverview Street from Pohocco Avenue to Otoe
Avenue, Main Street from
Pohocco Avenue to Saunders Avenue, and Front
Street from Saunders Avenue to the Otoe Creek. The
proposed improvements include removal of 39 existing
drainage pipes in poor
condition and replacement
with approximately 1500
linear feet of corrugated
metal, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and reinforced concrete culverts, as
well as approximately 10
storm sewer inlets. Rehabilitation and restoration versus replacement of existing
culverts will be evaluated
during design to provide
cost effective solutions.
Project activities would also
include clearing and removal of overgrown vegetation
as well as slope adjustments involving excavation,
surfacing with crushed rock
and seeding, mulching and
erosion control in order to
comply with state standards. Permitting and Easements from the State of
Nebraska Department of
Transportation and/or BNSF
Railroad are also anticipated to be necessary in order
to complete this work.
The total estimated project
cost for these activities is
$469,320,
including
$439,320 in project costs
and $30,000 in construction
management and general
administration. CDBG funds
totaling $430,000 would be
matched by village funds in
the amount of $40,000,
including $31,000 provided
through NRD funds. During
the completion of proposed
project activities, no persons will be displaced as a
result of CDBG activities
and appropriate traffic control measures will be implemented. The proposed project will result in improved
drainage and flood control
measures that provide an
area-wide benefit to all
residents of Leshara including low-to-moderate income
residents. Leshara is 60%
Low-to-moderate income
and therefore eligible for
CDBG funds.
The grant application will be
available for public inspection at the Leshara Town
Hall. All interested parties
are invited to attend this
public hearing at which time
you will have an opportunity
to be heard regarding the
grant application. Written
and oral testimony will also
be accepted at the public
hearing scheduled for 6:30
pm, August 15th, 2023, at
210 Summit Street, Leshara
